The Bible is full of paradoxes, but the biggest one I’ve ever found is “God gave us freewill” as well as “God has a divine plan for us”. You can’t have both. You either have freewill or you’re all apart of a big plan.
What are some paradoxes you found in The Bible or any “holy book”?
Well, I guess the biggest one for me has always been that God is love, and He sends so many of His own created children to everlasting hellfire torment because He loves them with a perfect love and that's what a perfect love does. Kind of makes you want to curse love, doesn't it?
It’s been decades since I tried to read a babble.. I’d never read so many descriptions of death, blood or war in that few pages of any book! What instantly became apparent is how easy it is to interpret ‘it’ any way that suits ones manipulative goals...
As I find it only mildly interesting listening to folks debate the many contradictions within basically the same ‘holy book,’ I’ve come to a conclusion not unlike what I’ve made with regard to the (my) current US president … when too many lies are stated as fact, or contradictions overtake previous statements ..nothing can be trusted and all must be rejected.
Thats what 800 yrs of writing by monks will gets you, a verse for everyone who has an idea.
