This makes me so very sad. And fucking angry. How can "we" treat our elderly and developmentally disabled like this? I just don't understand why so many people lack compassion and empathy.

Evidently money and the rich getting richer is the only thing that matters in this country...
A lot of people in nursing homes are there because their relatives dumped them there. Many aren't even aware of where they are. How are they going to make alternative plans? This is cost cutting at its very worst.
