That's a bit sad, i think. People are very variable, but there are usually a few who can be counted on under some circumstances. I am always optimistic.

I don’t think so. Almost everyone can be counted on sometime. Figuring out when is an algorithm that has yet to be written.

Love everyone, trust no one, and paddle your own canoe. That being said, the person who has caused the most problems in my life has been me. I have faith in those I love, yes I have been disappointed, but hope springs eternal.

Being beaten & dragged around a dance floor, with pauses for the occasional kick, in full view of almost 200 people, not one of whom did a damn thing except move out of the way, at age 19 in, of course, the Deep South, taught me this valuable life lesson, which has served me well.

It could also pull you together! There is immense power in Knowing it is up to you! Helplessness is a Huge downer IMO

There appears to be a limit to those being counted on. Family & friends can count on me ...with that limit pushed out further for family than friends ..or most family ~
