Several years ago on Mother’s Day I was contemplating driving my car into the Ohio River when a friend shared this with me. I needed to read this at the time and it appears I need to read it again today, although my pain level is nowhere near what it was the first time I read it. There may be others out there who would benefit from reading it too. This is for you.

That is beautiful. My sister struggled with infertility for several years. It was hard for her, I was fertile Myrtle. Having a baby should not be the measure of a woman, but our society does place that expectation on women. Some things just must be endured.

Thank you for sharing this. I lost both parents to different forms of cancer, but my mom we lost especially young. She succumbed 2 days after her 61st birthday. Thanks again.

'Especially young' at 61 made me smile. Mine died aged 29 leaving 5 kids under 7yrs. I feel your hurt but envy you your time ?

@SimonCyrene My mom died at 45, I was a teenager. I am thankful I had her as long as I did. That must have been really tough for your dad, that is a lot of little kids!
