Afanaticism and why it is important to separate yourself from group think:

Being a fanatic of any team may blind you to your own actions or make it much easier to dismiss or even oppose differing view points.

I do understand that using reason to free yourself from the prison of religion doesn't mean that the same will be done with other constraints, like fanaticism for example, but I do hope that we all try this as part of our journey to free thought.

Excellent post, I find identifying with group(s) is far too limiting.

No Shit!!.......When I see the crowds at a Trump rally on TV it's like I'm watching the fans at a football game.........

Reminds me of the crowds Obama used to have as well...

@SpikeTalon Obama's crowds more resembled fans at a Beyonce concert....
