There are a lot of articles claiming that the FDA holds back on cures for cancer.
Has anyone had experince with this?

There are many countries, not to mention people, who would instantly use such a cure if it was available. It's a secret that literally could not be kept. So no, just another conspiracy theory.

A lot of people struggle to understand that information is just really hard to suppress in life today. If something as huge as cancer cure was to become a thing, the internet would be all over it and would in turn, be impossible to cover up.

@criztoferlee1 Exactly, it's a conspiracy that would require silencing hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Each one of whom would have enormous incentive to spill the beans. Wouldn't be a secret very long.

People seem to conflate corrupt business practices with conspiracy theory, combine this with a very desperate situation & this can lead to a very unreasonable end. Easy answers (or excuses) are often not the correct ones.

My view on it is they most likely already have a cure, but the cure would kill the pharmaceutical industry's profits for treating cancer. If they don't have a cure, then they never will. The greatest minds in the world have been working on this for how many decades already? Cancer was first discovered in 3000 BC. "Modern" research has been going on for about 40 years now. It's been said that CBD oil cures cancer, but there is no clinical study on it because it's cannabis oil.

I'd say that the extremely long process of developing, testing, and human trials (sometimes over 10 years) leads to this type of story.

they will certainly never tell you all the CAUSE of cancer. all those millions you donate only 8% of all the money left over after marketing costs and board's members remuneration goes to such research

I don't buy that. They and their families get cancer too. They are slower at approving new drugs because they are overly cautious sometimes.

No experience with it, but I can't help but believe that they are, considering (from a business standpoint alone) how terrible a business model it would be to cure anyone of anything that is going to net them billions in profit consistently. It would be like intentionally going bankrupt. If they cure cancer, the only profit they'd be getting would be from newly diagnosed victims, and that wouldn't come close to covering the overhead on the research or lab equipment. So, as greedy as they are, and as obviously unsympathetic as corporations tend to be, I'd be a fool not to at least suspect such corruption.

I've been hearing that for years.

Do not doubt. Pharma is not about the cure either.

Before the Trump Administration I would have said that's not true; however, everything's out the window with this clown and his joke-of-a-cabinet in place.

Big Pharma and cancer research charities don't want a cure for cancer. They would lose too much money.
