If you're going to read only one book in your atheist pursuit of enlightenment, that is the one!

Yes, I read this book years ago - it was loaned to me by a friend and I ended up buying my own copy. It is very informative and easy to read and I highly recommend it. You can see by the chapter titles that this book covers a lot of ground, but I would say it is full of valid points about religion and atheism and has lots of helpful accurate information about evolution. Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist and has an impressive resume in regards to science education - so this book is based on his expert knowledge of the field. 10/10 have re-read it many times.

Richard Dawkins is most definitely a good bet, but please by all means don't take our word for it

currently listening to it right now. Just started it so I'll catch up with this post again! Stay tuned..

I've read most of Dawkins books but The God Delusion was probably my favorite. Dawkins has a way of articulating points that many other writers lack. He uses sound logic to dispute invalid arguments that theology uses on a daily basis. I highly recommend this book to any person seeking knowledge instead of simply living in an echo chamber.

I have it on my nightstand now. It is also overdue at the library. Geeze, I'd spend more time reading it but I'm on here.

'The God Delusion' by Richards Dawkins is the only book I have read more than once. In fact, I was so impressed, I bought several copies to give to my friends. Can thoroughly recommend it and some of his other books.

It’s a good read ,a step into something straight forward and thinkable when I read it ,coming from a religion back ground at the time

Yes, I enjoyed it. I would also recommend it to anyone who is struggling with theism. Dawkins has a wonderful writing style.
