I love everyone's lists! I must add (if no one else has, pardon my TL;DR as I am at work) British comedy - I grew up watching Monty Python on PBS way back, and added the Britcoms to the mix which brought Rowan Atkinson to the mix. Later I discovered Eddie Izzard and I am complete! 😀

@WishYouWereHere OHHH yes, Fawlty Towers!!!!

@donotbelieve hahahahahahahaha

I like Rick Gervais too. He is spot on with his comments.

I just watched some stand-up specials by Ricky Gervais and John Mulaney. Both were really good. Particularly Ricky Gervais.

Always loved Harold Llyod movies. Love alot of comedians but I think my favourite of all time was the Irishman Dave Allan growing up in the 70's he was really conrtoversial in challenging/micky taking the Church, particularly his own catholic roots.Hand a Humanist funeral to boot.

Conedy is a gift. Many great ones.

Colbert on The Late Show and Trevor Noah on The Daily Show. For stand up, Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Ron White and of course George Carlin. Comics that use excessive foul language or over the top sexual content are a turn-off for me to enjoy comedy. I don't mind some strong language but a lot of comics overuse it.

Chris Rock - I love the cheeky smile and the 'Yeah, I said it' catchphrase.

0

Lewis Black, George Carlin and Maria Bamford.

CoryFunk you and all your commentors have some very good choices very funny people, however Danny Kay was under rated in his time and overlooked in ours. But the man was brilliant. If you've never heard of him I encourage you to look him up and watch some of his old films.
