Geeze I've been on here off an on all day. But a client cancelled so I've been messing around the house. I've mentioned before I've rented the downstairs of a split level home that can only be described as a petting zoo. One of the inmates is a duckling called Lucky. Well let me tell you...that damned duck is the best pool cleaner I've ever seen! I let the duck out earlier this morning and noticed the pool had a bunch of bugs in it. So I come out this afternoon to net it. No bugs. No bugs anywhere. And the big, black ants that hang out on the back porch...gone...all gone. I do believe I love this duck!

We had a swimming pool and the mother duck taught her ducklings to swim in it instead of down at our pond, the swimming pool was much safer for the ducklings to play in. Our pet dog, Bear, looked after the ducklings at our house when the mother duck went off to the pond to find food for herself and to be with the other grown-up ducks, just for a little while, and then she came up to the house and took over caring for her ducklings.
