It's sad that Dogs are so short lived you'd think by now,a means to slow down their maturing would have been discovered,I heard a little girl some years ago reply and said "God made them so short lived so we could have many Dogs in our lives"[agnostic.com]

Aaaaw! My mom bred American Cocker Spaniels for about two generations, mostly to get a replacement for her aging dog.
One pup was a strikingly beautiful golden colored one, who knew he was beautiful. Even as a puppy, if the camera came out, he was posing, and since he did it so well and was so photogenic, we couldn't resist.
