You know I am just as good a person without god as I was with god. I now rest in so much more peace knowing the real truth

I do feel quite free, why I didn't see it before is strange to me but its so clear now

It's definitely more peaceful knowing that I don't have to worship a god (Jesus' daddy) who has the temperament of your average alpha male baboon and the worst of human rulers.

True, what turned me against relidgion the most is its selfish. All religion is about self salvation after death and nothing more.

It is rather freeing not being judged all day long. It's a huge weight on your shoulders and mind that religion imposes that is lifted once you let go of religion.

Reminds me of the challenge by Christopher Hitchens
"Propose a right action committed, or morally right statement made, by a believer that could not have been made, or performed, or uttered by a non-believer. That's all you have to do."

Real truth instead of imagery truth. So much better to test things out on your own, than blindly accepting what they were preaching. Sounds like you are free, and on your own path..

It is nice, isn't it?

...and there's no condemnation for victimless crimes that only reside in your thoughts. Like masturb....

Oops, wrong forum....

I found more unethical people in Christianity than any other "class" of people. This idea that "I can be forgiven" gives them license. And they take it...

Would you say that your beliefs influenced your actions as far as you could tell?

All hype. No substance. Good for you!

I actually think I'm a better person without God. When I believed in God I relied on the Bible to tell me what was good and bad. Now I actually think about it.

2

I find religion to engender unethical behavior, not the opposite.
