I think I'm more into signing off, coming back to deal with a handful of notifications, and then disappearing back into the void

Well that seems fitting for a ghost warlock.

5

I don't have the sound on for alerts. The constant 'dings' would drive me crazy(er).

Well we wouldn't want that to happen now would we?

5

I regularly and frequently check for new members near me.

Have you had much success?

4

That's me!

Sweet. We are not alone.

4

sorry, but that does sound sad. so here is a "ding" for you.

Thank you.

I’m a badly phone addicted slave to technology. Between this and Twitter, I’m never gone long. I suppose I was the same with FB before politics destroyed it and I take full responsibility for that. I think what’s good about this is A. You don’t mind if I’m atheist and B. None of you are family or friends (off line).

I pretty much quit FB because of politics too. I was really starting to feel lonely until I began interacting on this site. It is nice to be able to speak without a ton of filters.

DING

YAY! TY!

It's just you. LOL!

Sweet. I am unique lol

  • blush * I do although not all the time. I love the little dinging sound. I also really like this quote - sent shivers up my spine.

Awww thanks pixiedust. I am glad ou liked it too.

It went "Zip" when it moved
And "Bop" when it stopped
And "Whirrr" when it stood still

And then it dinged

Thanks for the grin.

@CreativelyMe I just thought the song fit the subject ?

My wife gets suspicious if I get dinged too many times, so I must close this site when I am done. I wonder how much I miss.

I would ding your wife too if she joined. (That sounds bad but posting anyway)

@CreativelyMe She wouldn't join though. She's not agnostic/atheist. She is one of those others, a Christian. Lutheran, to be precise.

I would love to watch her get "dinged" by another woman. Sorry, just had to do that.

@Kipper LMAO. I set myself up for that one. Is it difficult to be married to each other with those differing beliefs?

@CreativelyMe Yes it is. Luckily she's not as devout as she once was. I think I am wearing her down with my logic. I let believe as she wishes, so long as she doesn't push her beliefs at me. She knew who i was when we got married.

@Kipper Personally I think religion causes a lot of marital issues. Cool you are able to deal with it.

I hope it's not just you and I who are addicted to agnostic.com.

Nope, a couple other people confessed too lol

For some reason I have yet to figure out I don’t get notifications on my iPhone.

I wish I had a clue how to help you but I am clueless.

@NotAndrew that was my conclusion as well. Oh well.

No sounds.
I'm at home a lot - left side of nowhere - so perusing groups passes the time between doing things. made some awesome biskits and packed more stuff today - moving next week. Won't have Wi-Fi unless I go in to town so I'll be more scarce.
Promise.

Good luck moving and please ding us from time to time.

if you'd make more threads about weed I'd read them

Sorry, weed is not one of my topics of interest but bring some over and I will smoke it with you! I won't know what kind it is or how to grow it but I will definitely enjoy it with you.

@CreativelyMe doubt making it up to Wisconsin is a possibility ... but you can hand out with my cousin Kimmie who lives in some place called Kimberly.

No, I only have this site on my laptop, and when I am away from the laptop I shut things down. I don't have it on my phone, it would be a huge distraction at work.

Yeah. I am so easily distracted so shut off all notifications. Even text. The phone dinged too dang much and I couldnt decipher what app the noise was for. I like it on my phone except the typing part.

@gigihein Typing on the phone is not an easy feat.

@CreativelyMe That is my other issue, I like my full sized keyboard.

2

I frequently do that.

2

I don't but only because I work with clients all day. So check it at night or a few times I have at lunch in my car. But I save that for NPR time

What does NPR mean?

@CreativelyMe national public radio

@gigihein Ah thanks. I just could not figure it out.

@CreativelyMe to many avronyms

2

I am going to check out your profile so you get a new visitor ding 🙂 🙂 🙂

I do not get notifications for that. I saw someone say they do but I do not and have no clue why or how to change that but thanks for the sweet gesture.

@CreativelyMe I need to shit down the notifications on email. I don't check email much and had way too many

2

I leave it logged on but no ding for alerts.

I like the dings. Not sure why but I do.

2

Oh no way, is not that serious. At least not for me.

It is actually life saving for me. I live in the country with no income and just recently ended 3 long term relationships which left me feeling all kinds of painful emotions despite knowing it was best for me to be rid of them. This site gives me people to talk to whereas I would be all alone with my pain otherwise. No outlets except this one for now. (Perspective)

1

Absolutely not. I am afriad I will become addicted. Pavlov's Dog?

Yep. I come to the sound of the ding. Just glad I was not Pavlov's dog though because those experiments were horrendous for tat poor creature.
