Have you ever asked a Christian why God doesn’t regrow amputated limbs, no matter how hard they pray? If so, what was their response?

No, I happen to think that would be silly and easily disputed question from a theist point of view... it would not need to be logical as logic is not a criteria for religion.

There's a whole web site devoted to this: [whywontgodhealamputees.com]

It's actually a decent argument from an unexpected angle. Regrowth of missing limbs would be easy to document and hard to refute, IF genuine. It's never been done.

Basically this is just pointing out that all woo (religious or not) is perpetually in the corner of your eye, never in plain sight. There's a reason for that.

I've never used this in practice but I've used a variation on the theme: when someone who claims god heals the sick stakes a claim, I tell them to go empty a children's cancer ward and then get back to me.

Oddly I've never gotten a response about that, but if I did, I'd predict it would be that you should not test god. To which I'd ask, why not? There's even a verse where he invites you to do that.

I've heard pastors claim that they've seen it happen. Along with bringing people back from the dead. No proof though.

Maybe the starfish and newts pray to a better God than humans do?

Not that exact question but similar and it's always,"It's part of God's plan"..

It's always a part of god's plan. I even have a book called "God's Plan for Man." I thought it was important when I studied to be a preacher. Today I don't think anybody knows god's plan. Not even the invisible one himself.
