Is it just me, or does anybody else feel a little stalky when hitting the "Follow Posts" feature on somebody's profile page? Part of me gets the urge to ask permission first. Conversely, it doesn't bother me at all to know that some people follow my posts. Is that silly?

Yes of course you can follow mine

It's just an easy way to store a profile you want to look at later.

It must be you. I confess that my follows are all women, so that might look suspicious on the surface. But, a check on my bio explains why. Following someone, to me, means that you like what you've read and would like to read more; either because of the content or because it seems to be an attractive quality and you want to learn more about them.

In your case, Deb, it could easily be both. 🙂

I never refuse a hug. I was not trying to be rough on anyone I was trying to state that I do not take myself seriously enough to allow any insult to harm me. Probably said just the opposite as I do turn things around.

I hope anyone who wants to follow me would do so, it is why the posts are there. Please respond whether or not you agree. My ego is lost and I cannot find it. So if you want to really insult me please wait for me to receive your notice or attention. Then stare whatever you want and wait for me to care. After you have my attention and my ability to really care about your insult please wait for me to get back to you with a quick thought. This may take some time as I sleep a lot and have a lot of other things to do. Happy times. This is not a response to the person who originally placed a spot for me to react to it is for those who think they are smart enough to insult me and only those.

My goodness! Sounds like you need a hug!

Laughs ... I actually thought that myself on more than one occasion. However I believe that were I to comment on every post either in a positive or negative way well then I may in fact be a stalker! That has not been the case so far ... but give it time I'm sure someone's going to give a look to see who is following them, and I'll bet at some point there will be a complaint! I truly hope not but ... shrugs ... it's a whole different world and the climate changes like the wind ... no pun intended!

I like to think Johnny Depp reads my posts in the middle of the night, sipping wine in his boxer's.

LOL

I agree. I don't like being followed. But I do follow some people.

1

I just follow who I want to follow...I never thought of asking for permission. Is that a social convention that I missed?

2

I don't follow anyone. It feels weird, especially if l were to follow a woman. It feels a little stalky to me. It might seem silly, but it is how l feel. ☺

Is this a joke? Why would you bring the concept of witches into the discussion?

your witches are the bad kind then. sorry to read that?

I look at it as a way to get to know someone better by learning what they think by what they have to say.

4

no, not at all. It just lets me know when they post. I am not looking in their windows

4

I can understand how you'd feel that way. I just assume those people don't mind. I certainly don't have a problem with anyone following me, though I don't know why anyone would.

3

Hey, I hit your follow button.. hope you don't mind ,?

1

Not silly, considering how intrusive you might be is just good manners. I wouldn't worry unless someone objects this is an open forum so general opinion favors you.

4

I think it's just you. It can be a little intimidating at first but following someone is a highlight of the site.

Our posts aren't hidden from eachother. I think it is fine to follow a particular person's posts.
