I always hated football

Me too. I got sucked into it in my sophomore year of HS. It wan't a great deal of fun.

This was my mancave a few houses ago. I invented beer yoga in that garage. Note to self: patent every idea you have.

You messy lad ?

Oh! Ohhh! That's almost exactly my own dream of a man cave. I'm perpetually bitter that I've never had one and probably never will... Mine would also include a PlayStation VR setup, a sofa and a souped-up Morris Minor taking up one half of it.

....And I like the desk-bell — was that to ring for roomservice? ?

@VAL3941 only slightly lol you should have seen that place before I got ahold of it. Everything left on that side of the garage has a purpose and a place. Looks like a bunch of miscellany but it couldn’t have gotten much neater for as much awesomeness as I crammed in there trust me. Not pictured: giant PA speakers behind me upon which the funkiest music was blasted. @DaveMania yeah it was glorious, does have a sofa (the green thing behind the desk) but no VR. The bell releases a disco ball and Donna Summer from the ceiling. ?

The Allegory of...

One of my favorite short readings from college; I still have the book.

As person who was once bound by religious indoctrination this allegory is a magnificent representation of the waking process. Love it.

Also, the comic was funny too.

I don't get it.....

I understand the joke. It's a little interesting but you're not missing anything important. Plato had certain preferences shall we say and football is synonymous with man cave.

Based on the Allegory of the Cave from Plato’s Republic. There used to be a free audiobook of it on iTunes/maybe the educational section of the podcasts app. Very interesting read.

In brief, Plato said something along the lines of our experience of reality is like being chained in a cave, facing the back wall and looking only at the shadows of what's really going on outside the cave's mouth.

Thanks @DaveMania
