Taking care of too many "family" members. Thought I would be having less stress at 65. But it seems 65 is the new 40. Only with more wrinkles.

I don't NEED a woman but id like one and I'm quite prepared to end my days alone with my pets. it gets a bit lonely but I'm in a pretty good place.

Same!

@dkp93 I love companionship and good sex but I don't need it.

When you're separated but have four kids and are financially interdependent, it's always going to be complicated.

8

Single and very uncomplicated, drama-free life.

Single and enjoying being single. Yes, I miss my wife, she brought so much to my life, but also enjoying doing as I please, when I please.

Would I consider another partner, yes, but so many of the women I have me are widows, they haven't recovered from their loss, and some never will.

The one I'd really like as my life partner is a widow, but in a complicated situation she won't be able to get out of until the man she is taking care of dies and she inherits the house they share.

He's 89, but I'm betting he may outlive both of us! We're both 73.

SO 'other'!!! Eternally grateful for my otherness!

Single and happy. My health is improving each day that goes by.

We are all in complicated situations. It is part of the human condition. Levels vary, but the vast majority of us have things to deal with.

Life is pretty fluid. I've been in really "complicated" situations. But, I've learned over the years that we tend to create our own complications. You've just got to learn how to control them.

Other; married husband disabled & helping my son with grandchild while son is both working and going to school full-time (child's mom has MS and is bedridden @ age 29 - prognosis poor).

@Akfishlady thanks - believe it or not, I come to this site for a little "me" time.

Free, single, co-won a house with my single son which has amazing advantages, financial, getting things done, activities, also can be problematics for us both if we have people over at the same time. Bigger problem is I have female friends who rely on my for a lot of different things, a relationship for me would leave them stranded.

I'm single and alone, my kids are grown. I have had some struggles, not as many now. It isn't perfect, but it's been far worse. I don't know that mine is really complicated.

5

Completely single, uncomplicated, and drama free.

Life is complicated by definition and wouldn't like it any other way

I voted other. Having a toddler with Type 1 diabetes is very complicating and difficult - but we manage. My oldest son (now 15) also had cancer when he was 1 year old (he's fine now), and I have a son on the autism spectrum. Complications are everwhere...but they don't bring you down if you don't let them! It's all about choices.

After 40 years, three back to back relationships......I'm enjoying being on my own.
A comrade would be nice, but not something I'm actively seeking.
Wanna hang out ? Sure, well see what happens...otherwise let's just get some ice cream and coffee.

Other...Separated since September and confused.

Thanks for the poll/post. I didnt expect to see taking care of aged of it. That was nice, thanks again❣?I don't have drama due to this though. I don't have drama at all.

I’m just floating around in chaos. I really have no clue.

2

Other for me... have a daughter with severe special needs (spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy). Way too much for a single person. My daughter’s mum and I live together because we’re devoted to her; but not so much to each other. And I couldn’t stand to abandon my girl anyway, hehe...

1

Single, but not struggling as much. I would like to meet a lady with whom I can have an intimate (emotionally if not physically and emotionally) relationship. Once we pass the 40's or maybe 50's, it's more difficult to find a decent match. So, @arkfishlady, what is your selection in the poll?

Life has difficulties and joys, which makes it easier knowing neither last forever.

Those results make me ?

Aww.
