Victory and Peace --- May 9 is a venerated day on the Russian calendar. It marks the victory over fascism in Europe in 1945. Tragically, the Collective West has forgotten this day.

Did you miss or forget about Victory Day? One of the most pertinent moments of our lives in regards to wars, and I'll argue, the 4th of July, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day. Yet there is basically no real emphasis put on either WWl or WWll in regards to these important dates. Especially in the US. The discussion on CrossTalk exposes why the narratives are controlled in our western societies.
The George Orwell statements above in regards to history is a narrative I am constantly attempting to pound into your heads here. History is constantly under attack and what keeps so many ignorant towards becoming negatively indoctrinated into a delusional reality. It's THE essential truth they want to keep you from discovering.
The main role of the Ministry of Truth is to rewrite history to correspond with the Party's current claims. The function of Minitrue is primarily concerned with the mutability of the past, which is a central tenet of INGSOC. Inside the Ministry of Truth, employees like Winston Smith revise and recreate journals, articles, periodicals, and other forms of media to be utilized as government propaganda.

It is interesting how in Britain & its colonies it is the 11th November Armistice Day from WWI that is most remembered. Here in Australia Anzac Day has equal reverence because of the diggers sacrificed on Churchill's madness.
What I find despicable is how USA in particular embraced certain fascists deemed useful for US hegemony. Britain also turned some blind eyes. But the USA the two main parties can be alternatively described as light fascist & heavy fascist.
Considering that Russia sacrificed more people than any other country I find it not only right that they celebrate victory rather than the more morbid remembrance of those dead.
