Religion and schools have no business being partners. We went through this, still do. All the children in a class may be of separate faiths. You cannot teach your class and satisfy the different religious needs of the children. Religion is a parental choice and should be indoctrinated by the parents. I see no way to be fair to every child and every religion except by keeping them separated. They do no make good partners. If you want your child raised in a certain religious environment, send them to a private school dedicated to that faith. Save millions of people from killing each other.
No religion should not be taught in schools. If people want to talk to their kids and introduce them to religion then that is their choice, but religion shouldn't be forced upon anyone let alone young and impressionable kids. Religion and education should be two separate things and it shouldn't play any part in getting into schools or their studies.
