Have you given up ...

  1. Belief in God
  2. Dependence on substances (street drugs)
  3. The idea that someone can make you happy
  4. The conviction that the rich are victimizing you
  5. The notion that the government should make your life fair
  6. A belief that you have emotional wounds
  7. The feeling you are incomplete
  8. Waiting until big societal issues are resolved before you can be happy
  9. The sense that the world is holding you back
  10. The desire to feel better instead of the hard work of doing better

If you have, I would like to meet you.

Belief in God : Never really had it, but yes.

Dependence on substances (street drugs) : Never did them.

The idea that someone can make you happy : Only I can do that.

The conviction that the rich are victimizing you : Never had that feeling.

The notion that the government should make your life fair : Never had that.

A belief that you have emotional wounds : Those were abolished long ago.

The feeling you are incomplete : I've never felt incomplete.

Waiting until big societal issues are resolved before you can be happy : My happiness does not hinge on anything external.

The sense that the world is holding you back : The only thing that has ever held me back that was within my control was me.

The desire to feel better instead of the hard work of doing better : Never had this one, either. Striving to better myself and the world around me is a natural state.

And, no, you don't want to meet me.

Yes... I'm ok. On #10. I felt great about my jobs and ambition was fun. I showed determination and enthusiasm. I never really had to work hard. I worked long hours sometimes. It paid great money.

Is that a pick-up line? Just kidding. From other thread. I'd say I'm 99% there.

Yes to all. I'm basically a libertarian with no opinions on topics that don't affect me.

  1. The rich are greedy and using their influence to get more, which is harmful to me, but it isn't a personal thing. 3. No one can make me happy, I am happy if i choose to be. 5. Life is, and sometimes it seems unfair. 6. We all have emotional wounds you just adjust. 7.I am complete, but I can be better. 8. see 3. 9. eh? 1. gone. 2. is chocolate a street drug? 10. My life is hard work, always has been, don't know of another way.

No, not all rich people are greedy. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet come to mind as two generous wealthy people.
