A few nice beasties from the Balkans- a lesser mole rat (surprisingly aggressive, bit my shoe!), Mediterranean mantis (possibly praying mantis, couldn't get it to extend its wings to confirm), some sort of sea star (probably Patrick, but sealife isn't my thing) and a European glass lizard. Here's where the post gets interactive, I snapped 3 of these creatures in Bulgaria and one somewhere else. So who is the odd one out?

No sorry, the mantis was in a Forrest just outside of Sofia, try again!
nice collection that! is the mantis - clearly praying, which is independent of the wings, but done with the oddly angled "arms" - from somewhere else?

It is not the mantis. I have to say I felt certain she was a med, how did you tell she wasn't?
@Rufus_Maximus, you mean mediterranean? i never saw one in europe, only in south east asia. so erroneously i went with that.
@walklightly she was in a Forrest just outside of Sofia in Bulgaria, not quite the Mediterranean but... You know, have legs-will travel!
