Are you so sure? Not saying you are wrong but isn't the idea to be open to realities as they present themselves based on proof. The beauty of Atheism is I get to change my mind.. and if the reality turns out that there is a god (which I don't believe at the moment) then I get to embrace that reality without being mired in hypocrisy.
@Davekp I'm quite sure that the idea of an angry old man in the sky who likes to watch us masturbate even though he frowns upon the practice, is a highly delusional idea. There are many delusional people in the world and it doesn't bother me if they have an imaginary friend that they like to talk to on Sunday and give their hard earned money to people who will help them get in touch with their imaginary friend. Where I draw the line is when they start demanding that I not only start governing my actions to conform with their imaginary friend's wishes and that I need to believe in their friend as well.
You can be delusional and insane, there is no law against it but if you start to harm yourself or others then they will commit you to the loonie bin.
they really didn't do a good job of justifying the claim under current rules. but it does point out the need to get rid of the whole church tax free system
