Got together with a few friends (mostly former military musicians) and played for a Remembrance Day ceremony in a small rural community today. The crowd was limited due to COVID restrictions but the deep connections to those who served was evident in the eyes of the crowd.

Occasionally the sun peaked out from behind the clouds as if trying to provide a little warmth and comfort but the bitter November wind was having none of that. In fact a few flurries appeared as the ceremony wound down, so it was time to go to the local legion for a beer.

Not sure how many of these ceremonies I've done over the years (50+) but each one is unique and special to me. Time to say thank you to those who served and those who still serve. A time to recognize the huge sacrifices made for all of us in this wonderful amazing country - Canada
