Confidence isn't thinking you are better than everyone else. It's realizing that you don't have to compare yourself with everyone else.

Good way of looking at it.

You could also say that confidence is simply being yourself, despite flaws such as constantly comparing to others.

We compare to gauge our own standing. It's not a bad thing, but it doesn't exactly help your confidence because there's always going to be someone better than you. So maybe, not care that someone is better? Just be the best you can be, and confidence will happen naturally. Or i imagine so.

Is it possible to be confident and yet unsure of yourself?

Or is it an either/or thing, 100% or 0%?

I feel it's possible. I'm certainly confident that I'm unsure of the correct answer, if there is one.

Confidence. Confidence is a belief in oneself, the conviction that one has the ability to meet life's challenges and to succeed—and the willingness to act accordingly. Being confident requires a realistic sense of one's capabilities and feeling secure in that knowledge.

It's shame more people don't realize that.
