One week into round 2, I lost no weight, but didn't gain anything either. Talking to a fellow today, he mentioned that 1500 is kind of low and recommended I eat 2000 calories. I did tend to eat more than 1500 anyway, so I'm going to accept his advice. If you eat more, your metabolism picks up, when you starve yourself, your metabolism slows down. Of course, he wasn't recommending I gorge on food, merely eat 500 more calories. His formula is to take your weight and multiply by 12. This is your resting metabolic rate. Subtract 500 calories from this and you lose a pound a week, subtract 0 calories and you lose 2 pounds a week.
