Any spiderwort lovers of prairie here ?

We love spiderwort, we put in our salads and often just pick and munch

@Wiseowl I never thought to eat my prairie forbs... how did you learn of edibility and taste ?

@Wiseowl your stock looks like shorter hybrids my prairie spiderworts are usually 3 foot tall

@GreenAtheist how did we learn of edibility of spiderwort, they grew wild in woodlands where I grew up and my grandmother always picked them and as children she would give to me as a treat during our walk collecting edible herbs

@GreenAtheist the spiderworts get to 3 ft high here also.........most people consider them pretty weeds. But there are so many edible things in nature.

@Wiseowl most people are stupid=religious

I love Clematis. I've grown several. They do really well behind Hosta. Keeos the roots shaded while allowing the vine to have the sun. One of my favorites

@dede18 That is correct, and then just try NOT to grow them - I am constantly hacking them back!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
