I spent Saturday at the dragstrip. First meeting of the year that hasn't been rained off.
I compete in ET Bike on a most unlikely bike for drag racing - a 2015 Triumph Tiger. Didn't stop me from winning the event though!!!

I won the Straightliners 11.10 class in 2016 and was 4th in the National ACU (Auto Cycle Union) ET Drag bike championship last year.
Currently 2nd= in this year's championship.
@BearMcClure It depends how you define slow. On UK roads, which are fairly tight and twisty it is far easier to ride quickly than most sports bikes.
I agree that on track it is outclassed by most sports bikes. I still give lots of them a good run for their money though!!!
@BearMcClure Had a ZX12 for a while and a ZZR1100 too. Awesome acceleration, but on UK roads, harder to ride quickly from A-B.
Believe it or not, I hadn't considered the Tiger, but needed a bike to commute 140 miles a day return trip all year round and the tiger has 10k service intervals and will average over 55mpg - important as petrol is almost $8 per gallon here. It was only after I had been using it for a while that I realised how quick it is on real roads. Totally unexpected.
And I bet your Rokon is quicker than the ZX across the swamp....
