Here we are still in Scandinavia! I mentioned earlier this morning in Music Fans group that on this day in 1990 a-ha released their 4th studio album called East of the Sun, West of the Moon…this was the title track, inspired by a Norse fairytale and written by Pal Waaktaar-Savoy. This version was recorded live at NRK studios Oslo…the saxophonist Sigurd Kohn,who was part of a-ha’s touring band during the 80s and 90’s, was sadly killed along with his teenage son a few year later in the Asian Boxing-Day tsunami….
