Sheku Kanneh-Mason is a young English cellist born in Nottingham to parents of Antiguan and Sierra Leonese heritage. He is the third of seven children, all of whom play musical instruments to a very high standard. Sheku won the BBC’s “Young Musician of the Year” in 2016 when he was 17. He then was chosen to play at the wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle in 2018 which boosted his career. Yes…but that’s just your personal view and I also realise it’s become a song that has been covered a lot. It’s very popular that is why! Cohen himself said k.d. Lang’s version of the song was “the perfect one” when he heard it, and I’m inclined to agree. However much I think it’s the best one, it doesn’t stop me from listening to other versions and I do like this instrumental arrangement very much.

Yes, heard of this family on a documentary, & watched a few videos of them playing too.
