True North…a-ha’s most recent album was released in 2023. It was filmed and recorded live with the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra inside the Arctic circle in Bodo in the far north of Norway, and the 45 minute accompanying video filmed by Norwegian photographer and film maker Stian Andersen was released on online streaming services and shown in selected cinemas worldwide. It also featured in a number of film festivals to good reviews including TriBeCa Film Festival in New York.
One of my favourite tracks from the album is Between The Halo And The Horn, written by Mags Furuholmen who split the writing honours on the album equally with Pal Waaktaar-Savoy…. Morten Harket is lead singer on all tracks as per the norm…
