Who knows of Doc Evatt now?
Given Australia's failure to domestically uphold human rights and incorporate them within Australian law I suggest that Doc Evatt is spinning in his grave at the thought of the wasted opportunities for Australian citizen's wellbeing and the continued hypocrisy shown by Australian politicians.

This week in 1948 - Doc Evatt elected President of the UN General Assembly. Only Australian in the role thus far. He oversaw the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [un.org]
