I just did the last craft bazaar for the year on Saturday. Last year sold a lot - 15 pieces, pricey ones, this year 7 pieces all around $10. It was a nice outing but made nothing after the table fee and a lunch.
I noticed the things people were buying were things to each - cookies, peanut brittle, etc. The other very noticeable thing was no one was very happy.
I was talking with my doctor about depression. He said that he has sheen a big uptake in the number of people who are depressed. Started right after trump was electe.
@dalefvictor We are not surprised are we? That's why we vent so much in the trump pinata group. O f course is solves nothing, of course it's negative over the top loathing and hate. But I leave it there and can go out into the world a happier person.
Craft shows are tough. I really just want to open an Etsy store. We’ll see, down the line.
Are you selling online?
@KateAmy My wife Kate has a store somewhere and she occasionally sells something. She has sewing patterns, she used to collect them.
@KateAmy I did have an Etsy store - did it for 6 months - lots of like but no sales. Got bored with it so closed it. I also found there was alot of wire work out there and several of my orginal designs were copied.
@silverotter11 Oh, no! Copy cats are the worst! That’s a really bad experience. I’ve decided I want to make my fortune on an Etsy store and selling my writing to poetry journals.
A girl can dream!
They are so cute! I have noticed people holding on to their money lately.
I have heard in the news several times that there is going to be a depression in the economy next year. Time to get Bill's under control, and get ready for things to get tight.
@dalefvictor I think so.
Thanks!
