Sick Cultures: When Belief Systems Turn Pathological

There is, of course, a downside. Natural localism ties one to a community worldview that mitigates against independent questioning and fact-checking. Over time established communities and groups socialize members into views supported by traditions, the interests of whatever passes for a ruling class, and often an ideology that idealizes the community’s raison d’être.

In other words. You end up living in that manufactured delusional reality I warn about here where your perception of the world betrays you. The negative propaganda and narratives used against us entrap you within a facade. Not only the world, but communities outside your own in which you may falsely judge also. You're likely part of half of the political spectrum that's divided you from the other side of that spectrum and unaware that they are just like you on most aspects. You've lost empathy and the sense of justice for those who had even less the chance to break Out Of The Illusion.On the world stage, wars and crimes on humanity stir little feelings within to a point of complacency, and or complicity, as though it doesn't effect you. Much like the issues of the southern border. Where the real issues in that regard are actually foreign policies. Part of the betrayal. Within all that the background noise you miss how it does effect you. Until it does. And even then that can betray you.

{That means, for most of us, our belief system encompassing our notion of what is right and wrong and who is friendly and who is unfriendly, is not something we have independently chosen. There are endless examples of this.}

A bell curve results — most people will be within an average range of cultural compliance. They will readily accept what they are taught at home and in school, hear from their teachers, leaders and media. There may be differences of opinion on the details, but most will buy into the overall message.

At the edges of the curve will be found those who, for whatever experiential reasons, ignore or reject the message. The majority will see this minority as weird. At the extreme, they will be seen as a threat to social stability.}

This concept should be highly recognized to resemble another war and cultural interference in the US. Can I get a Ukraine? I often ask who is running our country. Israel of our representation? Israel seems to have more power in the US than us citizens do. We seemingly have the same mirroring problem with Ukraine! Quite frankly, both seem to be highly directing all western nations. Can I get a ruling class?

Double standard? Russia is marching towards conquering all of Europe? No one mentions the fact that Israel has been actually attacking other Arab nations and Iran without warrant for years. Why isn't anyone worried about them going beyond Gaza? When they already have.
