*How hard is it to wear khaki pants and a nice shirt on a first date?* I look terrible in khakis, so very, very difficult. I get all self conscious and stressed out, and no one has any fun. :( Nice shirts are easy, though. First date with my wife I wore jeans and a tee, so did she - but they were tee's that actually meant something to both of us. I like my beard and my wife loves it. I don't tell her what to shave and I get the same courtesy back from her. But a manitail? No thanks.

Because carbon is the best atom for life - not because we're carbon based, but because it's so versatile chemically. Even simple life is pretty complex with crap tons (to lazy to look up, but it's a lot) of reactions happening per second. Carbon, because it's bonds can be created and broken relatively easily in thousands of combinations makes it the best atom to build around. Can't recall offhand which element is second best, but it's a long ways away from carbon.

Yes. Study religion as a whole instead of on a case by case basis and you have to be intellectually *dishonest* to think there's some supreme being of any stripe behind the curtain. Religion as a whole is self contradictory and can only stand as "the truth" if no other variations of it exists, and there's like 10's of thousands of variations of it. Athiesm just says "you guys are full of shit", not "we know everything". Actual evidence of a god would end athiesm, but then we get to decide if we think that god is worth worshipping - but it would most definetly be acknowledged. But I'm not going to get sucked into the "but athiesm beats agnosticism" bullshit because your just arguing which method of non belief is the correct one, and we can see how stupid an argument that is just by looking at what it's done to religion. The basic fact is agnostics and athiests live thier lives almost excately the same, so this is, quite honestly, one of the silliest, most pointless lines of demarcation that can exist. Best part? There's some fuckers selling books making money off this pointless crap.

**The Dating Thing** IMO this works much, much better that the profile mining sites. It's not nearly as fast because *everyone* actually need to put effort in for it to work. Calling this a dating site is a slight misnomer, it's more like a bar where everyone has a little sign on thier forehead stating availability and what they want, if you are too. .**Too Many Groups** Way, way way to many groups. Get rid of 90% of them. Sex and politics should be the extent of groups - keep the things best left behind closed doors behind closed doors. **Age** To many geezers here. We'll eventually die off though, so there's hope. One other thing, and that's the women here seem to get blasted by the desperate guys PM's. Giving layers to the block function could help. **Inactive Member Deletion** Put a filter in profiles to only show members that have been active in the last X amount of time. **Get rid of the self appointed lynch mobs policing the membership** Seriously, admin needs to take control of the site and do the policing. Members doing it harass new people that don't meet the lynch mobs, not the sites, standards. It give the impression that no one who owns the site cares about what goes on here. Add in the levels confusion some new members have and it would be easy for them to think this place is like a high school cafeteria they're freshmen, and you need to find the table your accepted at before the kids in ther letterman jackets (higher levels) start bullying you.

Thats what people will pay to hear them speak, so why not? The group bringing them in rents a place, sells tickets to people (price determined by poularity of the speaker in question), and if they sell enough tickets to cover expenses everybody's happy. Bill Clinton spoke at a venue I was working at and he was fantastic - worth every penny to the folks that footed the bill. Not even gonna touch the men/women better leaders trope. ;)

In my opinion humankind was social and had a sense of community long before religion co-oped it, like everything else they got "right" (a staggeringly little number of things, btw.) It's a great sense of community it does bring, however, in getting one community to try and anialate another. Also gives comfort when that other community kills a bunch of your community. Cool system. I get what your trying to do but copying religion does what excately, besides keep the framework of a fucked up system in place?

Since evolution (change over time) doesn't stop "pure" is a kinda silly concept. What you have with humans are breed standards for appearance, basically, with small adaptations to climate/diet. A "pure" race would be one that is well adapted to it's environment, like populations that live at elevation, or in extreme heat or cold. So a "pure" race in today's multi cultural society would be one of as much mixed heritage as possible.
