@Mark013 there would be close enough encounters with other stars to disturb the orbits in the ort cloud, increasing the number of rocks flying about the inner solar system. Its also possible that our planets orbits would be different due to gravitational interference, either closer or farther away from the sun, and/or more highly eliptical. Then there's those pesky novas being close enough to sterilize the whole planet. Be a cool show, but that's about it.

Can't beat my chest hard enough about how much I like the Puget Sound area. Except for the winters, where the cold isn't extreme but penetrates right down into the bones - which is why we're looking for a place in the tri cities area. Hopefully be moved by the time fall hits.

Money is the ability to create art, music, literature, discover the wonders of the universe, cure diseases, educate others, and so much more. The reason money allows us to do all those things is because no one person has to do everything just to survive.
