Ark Encounter owners sue over rain damage
vertrauen comments on May 24, 2019:
It is funny but not as funny in the details. It's not about damage to the ark. It's about insurance company failure to cover the cost of reopening an access road that was blocked in landslides twice.

@Bobby9 didn't say it was. You haven't actually corrected anything, btw, just failed to understand irony, or even to get a simple joke (acts of god). Anyways, done with this little charade of yours. Go ahead and have the last useless word on the subject, I'm just going to mark it as read.

@lerlo just like there's no "no stupid suggestions, please" when creating a post. Trust me I understand your consternation on this topic. You've been quite the whinny little shit to others here, btw, just because they didn't like your suggestion. I merely suggested you have a poll attached so folks could vote and everyone could get an accurate count. They're handy like that. Also, we don't have to depend on your dubious counting skills to get the correct answer. Still waiting for that updated tally on your suggestion.

@lerlo I hate it when people can't remember what they write: *Your thoughts please?*, from your OP. Maybe you could look up thin skinned people and how that type of person shouldn't invite commentary on the internet? I'm thinking it'd be very helpful to you. Still waiting for that updated tally, btw.

@chazwin the U.S. was supposed to be a land of religious freedom so we've attracted a much wider religious diversity (arguably leading to a more diverse culture, which is all religion really is, and also from the whole world, not just Britton), and also I think, a much stronger "bent" towards being religious to begin with. So yes, I think our population was/is self selecting to be a bit more religious in general. So, basically, you guys exported your nut jobs to us. Thanks a ton, and you're welcome, btw. :)

@lerlo see? A poll would have let me see the results without having a need for us to interact. Win win, I'd say. Oh, wait, that number wasn't here. A vast sea of 15 people expressed thier opinion on the subject somewhere else. Did you bother to include the responses here in your tally above? Seems it would shift away from your favor if you did that. That, also, is a telling figure.

There have been studies that show a predisposition to believe in "something" (which makes sense evolutionarily due to religions grip on society for so long) so seeing people replace a religion with another belief isn't so surprising.

To me it's just men blaming women for not liking them enough to fuck them. So instead of taking a look at themselves and trying to change or even try to be appealing so women will fuck them, they want women to change so they'll fuck them. It's male privilege is all.

@Castlepaloma well, good for you, I guess. Maybe we'll all be farting rainbows someday. Allowing greed to run rampant is never good, but greed motivates people to do things they normally wouldn't. Everything needs a check on it - including capitalism.

@hankster deists believe in a creator that set everything in motion then doesn't interfere, or even care about what happens, or one who watches to see what happens. Its a branch of theism that rejects the trappings of organized religion and tend to live like an atheist would. Its your basic "some god did it and theres nothing we can do about it" outlook. It does, however, include a supernatural component, as do all religions. Atheists reject supernatural explanations. There's nothing presumptuous in rejecting the supernatural, but there is something presumptuous in claiming a supernatural explanation for that which is currently inexplicable.

@Fred_Snerd in my 56 I think I have also. Also, like you, I spent years with an ex that worked to destroy me. IT FUCKS YOU UP. I spent 5 years afterwards figuring things out for myself and at one point thought excatelly as you currently are. After a particularly long and deep valley a stable plateau of consistent feelings/emotions/happiness sounds ideal. It isn't. It's stagnation, and it's really, really bad for you as a way of life. As a temporary shelter it's fine, and sometimes necessary. Like I said, I hope beneficial random events help you to discover lifelong happiness.

@Castlepaloma the history of weed being illegal is steeped in rascism and profits, mostly rascism for profit (monetary and power accumulation). No "pure" system will ever work. Pure capitalism inevitably creates corporatism.
