Forgive me but the question was if I recall "Why do people leave negative comments on inspirational meme posts?" If you ask a question then you have to expect answers, some of which you may not like. To only want results that fit your particular viewpoint is as silly as a bad sci fi movie where the scientist says "The experiment has gone wrong". When the truth is that no experiment ever goes wrong, it just does not give you the expected results. As I said in my comment, I dont leave negative comments on the memes themselves but since you asked I tried to answer with some humour. Admittedly abrasive humour and perhaps not to your taste. Maybe thats a culture thing but given that I did receive a few likes and favourable comments. Lets just treat it as I do most memes and swipe left.

@ProudMerrie I am not one to rain on anyones parade, hence the swipe left but the question was asked and I felt obliged to answer. Heres the thing, do you really need it? I cannot imagine a headline that runs "Meme factory burns down. Authorities on high alert Mass suicides expected". I have managed to struggle though this vale of tears for years now without seeing a "Love is....". If you have to have a motif on coloured background to tell you that youre a worthwhile, interesting person that someone should get to know? Then the chances are youre not.

@Rustee There are lies, damn lies, statistics and divorce. A woman scorned and all that. However it does seem unlikely that she would lie about being second best on a public platform. What is important is the circumstances around the infidelity. Maybe she had cheated too, had turned into a bitch or withheld / not wanted sex for a long time. Sometimes its just one on those things. I recently had a date with a very nice lady. She was shy, not flirty, quite momsy. Her marriage ended because she had an affair. It seemed so out of character that I had to ask. He was in her choir, she was not looking but over time fell in love. At the time she loved her husband and all was well, so she said. Her sincerity was such that I had to believe her. The important thing in this case was that she volunteered the information. A true cheat would not do that.

The ability to change govt has now quite rightly been taken over by democracy. What the queens role (in the UK and commonwealth) now is, is a backstop institution. She is intentionally a-political. We have had an off on relationship for years. It has nearly killed me and I did not want any chance of her sneaking back into my life. She has not been shy of giving me both barrels on too many occasions. A short snippet of my preface to the story went like this. "The scorn that you have heaped on me used to have me doubt myself. Yes I have many faults.....and I can be hurtful when hurt. Yet now that the dust is settled I can see that most of our quarrels have been about things you have done and things that I have said. I do apologise for the proofreading errors. I am slightly dyslexic and spelling is the main symptom. Once its up there I cannot edit or tidy them up. So there they sit warts and all. It irks me too. As for instalments, that is the nature of the site. Rather like youtube, writers get paid per number of hits. (Not that I have had any money back yet but I keep trying.) Dickins of course was an instalment writer and self publisher. The reason I have not written much of late for that particular part of the site was because it refused to publish the continuing tale of "Lynette". She was a real person that I came across on a hook up site many years ago. Her diary entries made very disturbing reading and I felt the need to exercise them onto the page. The story grew too dark for Vocal I think because despite having the story proofread by a friend who does so professionally. The tune is borrowed and the rhymes are easy too as so many end in "ium". https://youtu.be/AcS3NOQnsQM So let us assume that the chorus and tune were already in place. Most song writers do it this way. The verse melody is a rising infection common to the start of pop music. Quite simply 123 123 123 123. repeated twice falling slightly at the end of the 1st half and going higher at the end much like https://youtu.be/6gbBkXHRM1o Then we look at the lyrics. If you already have a list in front of you . It is quite easy to sort them into a rhythm and rhyme. I will demonstrate by using a list close to hand ie. artists and songs on my music hard drive. Alice Cooper, John lee hooker, Ry cooder, Super trooper Coldplay, Doris Day, Link Wray, Robert cray You get the idea. I never said that it was not good. Only that it was not too hard to write. Some of the very best songs took very little effort. In some ways that is their appeal. Shakespeare it is not but then you have to study Shakespeare not instantly absorb it.

Not long I think. Its a list song and not too lyrically demanding. Go to an encyclopedia and turn to "events" then you`ve got this song. Don Mclean's "American Pie" is similar but with some imagination thrown in. Dont get me wrong its okay and I think Joel is a great songwriter but this must have been knocked off in an afternoon or less.

@Lennie Cohens subject matter is often depressing but hidden in there is humor. "Even damnation is poisoned with rainbows". "Road to hell" has none.. Not that there anything wrong with a dark work. Just that I would not want to listen to it everyday. I suppose it can be a little less depressing than "Driving home for christmas" lol

I heard a lady poet use the word "bunt" in regards to female anatomy. (A bunt is a fish trap). So now I can say "There goes a bint with a bunt" ( "bint" is an often contemptuous word of Indian origin for a woman or girl. Part of scouse slang)

@Antifred There was a girls comic in my youth called "the Bunty" it was a sister publication to "the Buster" "Bunt" can also mean a head butt from a ram. So Bunty is a derivative meaning lamb.

@hippydog Thats the nature of the game Im afraid. Women tend to look for reasons to reject whist men to accept. Upshot is it becomes a mail shot type of venture. Sure if someone really takes my eye I will sit down and pen something special for her and that gets a higher response rate but not anything over 30% Think of it as a full time hobby like learning harmonica. Something you can do when the adds are on TV.

In the UK we do not have a federal police force and If we did it would be after much bigger fish. This is Liverpool, the plods cannot keep up with all the cocaine being sold in pub toilets let alone the weed grows. So my admission is small beer indeed. As for my employer: it would be rather hypocritical of me to sack myself being as Im self-employed. I can understand your hesitancy. This stems from you not partaking yourself. A reasonable choice on your part but I for one would not want to date someone that hesitant so it suits my purpose

@AnneWimsey Really? I have a brain and I use it quite often. Several points: My address is not on my dating profile. I doubt they would get many subscribers if it was mandatory? I am not that up on police manpower in the US but cops here have far better things to do than stake out everyone who admits to liking a joint every now and then. (a few years back the FBI sent scotland yard a list of 150 users of child porn. It took them 18 months to get around to investigating them all) Again why for small amounts you only get a caution and the paper work involved makes most cops just confiscate or throw away any pot found on a suspect. I have smoked an awful lot of pot in my day but even I have never gotten that paranoid

@Carin I have been on the receiving end and on on the periphery of these kind of relationships nearly all my life. Last night a very good friend called round. She has gotten away from a guy who destroyed her flat, musical instruments, gave her black eyes and (one year apart) broke both of her arms. Yet for love and compassion of his aged, infirm mother. Spent 3 days looking after her when she came out of a nursing home. She sat and said "Oh he played some guitar and I played percussion like old times". How can I explain to her that the love, compassion and responsibility she feels for this woman with dementia is dangerous. That he will read into it more than she is giving and eventually she will get hurt again. I can see this like a train wreck. All the insight in the world is not a magic wand. All we can do is wait till his mom dies and then maybe she will finally be through with the guy. Until then I will be there for her without judgement. I can do no more.

Does anyone here know much about phycology and stuff?

Nobody here is qualified to diagnose your ex, especially never having talked to her. You can't make her see a mental health professional, but you can go to one yourself if you are having issues with her.
