I should explain. I initially outed this character to the scammer group. Later when I came in I read from the senate group how this character had posted images of children in a group posting pics of 'sexy women'. My concern is that as a university lecturer I certainly do not want to be associated with anything where that is seen as the norm. As a nurse, it is illegal for me to knowingly witness criminal or abusive behaviour and not report. I do not want to report the site to Ceop but it seriously worries me. I am not trying to be a drama queen but having worked with paedophiles, I know how they work. Posting 'innocent' pics and saying things like 'I love babies' is very telling.

In a time before we understood anything about the world, the death of otherwise young healthy people would have seemed to defy any sort of logic or explanation. Especially because we continue to 'sense' them. We have a memory that lasts a long time. People can read entire sentences without vowels with no issue. We see an almost completed circle and automatically complete it. I can imagine as a cognitive shortcut there is some excellent advantages to this. So if it looked and felt magic our brains would fill in the gaps.

I teach on a BSc and MSc course and I am always surprised by the poor scientific knowledge of the students. I remember my science education, learning the scientific method first of all. A level science at the time consisted of developing your own research and submitting it to statistical analysis and review. (Mine was literally a research project on poo!) I started a little A&P session the other days and wrote 'Na' 'K' ions in ATP and the blank faces I was met with was really shocking.
