@AnneWimsey I am a reasonably intelligent older woman. I have a long term partner. I am an able bodied professional. Others are not. Some people are lonely, vulnerable, less able bodied and open to abuse. I feel if is my duty to expose these people as the process of extracting money is beyond cruel. It is cruel to the vulnerable to the person who is the victim, to the individual whose profile is stolen and to the perpetrator who is often forced to interact with people half way round the globe for a pittance. The only person this is not cruel for is the owners of these mills. I heard one report estimate the practice at being worth $50 billion a year. Thats a lot of life savings. Now I see the original post has not replied. He has not offered a defence. Again this is usual. They tend to withdraw immediately they are exposed. Onward to the next one. Of course I may be wrong, I doubt it but if I were, I'd be the first to apologise.

Nurses are generally ambivilent about giving injections. Its a job like any other, I generally do not like it. Influenza still kills, it puts a lot of added pressure on the NHS and yes for you it will be pretty awful but you'll probably live. Others won't. The elderly, people who are immunocompromised, the very young. I give flu shots to my colleagues in both my jobs. The last thing we need is a ton of nurses getting ill. It is important to have the vaccination as you live in a community and others may not fare as well as you. Saying that, I wish you well and hope you don't get it.

I remember my daughter arriving, apologising to the ambulance paramedics because the room was a mess, I remember the red sheets which I had to throw away. I remember he was wearing the jumper I'd bought him from GAP. I know I gave him an initial blow which we are no longer advised to do then feeling guilty, I remember him vomitting and me trying to protect his dignity. I do not remember driving to the cardiac centre. Memory is a strange thing. We remember important life events in intricate detail. Physical evidence can be there or it may be easily discounted. Shame, guilt and even fear prevent people from speaking out. I suggest Susan Brownmiller's Against our will (1975) its rather old but a seminal piece, either that or Rape and its effects on womens Mental Health (2012) by me.

Because science is utterly and unbelievably amazing, because you are the product of an exquisite process of meosis and every day our cells are reproduced by mitosis. Our cells know exactly what to do as if by magic and for our entire lives they do that by maintaining something of homeostasis for us. I never ever tire of the intracies of the animal cell. A minute part of a whole all working together to keep us upright. It is wonderful, beautiful and who can't fall head over heels in love with organelles called the 'golgi apparatus' and the 'rough endoplasmic reticulum'...come on, its absolute poetry! ;)

In fact this wasn't even a crime in UK until 1991. A difficult to prove crime comes even more difficult within the confines of an intimate relationship. However it does happen very often. If you want to get medical. There’s ten personality disorders. Some deal with anxiety, isolation, etc. Narcissistic personality disorder is the only thing that would cause someone to undermine others to thier own benefit.

We used to call her 'datix' Helen (datix being the name of the incident form we had to complete) She was a complete sycophant when it came to senior staff (choosing her break to coincide with theirs) and very slowly managed to slide up the slippery pole to management. She was definitely a narcissist and actually when she came under scrutiny she immediately fell apart. She is no longer a nurse and only just managed to avoid being struck off. You might be correct (do you work in MH btw? )

I think from the point of view of a nurse, I am dreading even less staff around. From the point of view of a university lecturer, I just think our world will become more isolated and we lose the one commodity that we still have to sell in buckets...the knowledge economy. Anyway. I appreciate that my opinion lost the argument but every single brexiteer I have spoken to has said, hands down then did so to reduce the number of immigrants. Oh and weirdly, I know a lad in Manchester called Ian, who makes bespoke children's beds. He made beds for the Beckhams...small world.

We have grown advocados and kiwi up there. I can weave and I sew all the time. I also knit tat and crochet. In Scotland you are slap bang next to one of the windiest places on earth and in summer you can get up to 15 hours of light. We can brew our own beer and wine, we can make our own entertainment. We already do this at the workers coop I am part of. Internet is available, at the Doon we barter eggs, cheese and fishing time on the loch for other things. We have compost loos and you can easily set up solar showers. I can't think of one other thing I'd need.

You could try 'Ecosia' as a search engine and sites like 'Ello' which is a social media site. Linked in is usually a good way for professionals. My university expects all academic staff have Linked in accounts.
