The "r-word" should no longer be acceptable to say. Stop using the word "oriental" to describe people, or a group of. This term should be stricken and be obsolete. Try using the word Asian, or try talking to the person and find out what their ethnicity is. Respectfully!!
Amisja replies on Oct 1, 2018:
@Xuande The reason why is because it is biologically incorrect. The terms Idiot, imbecille and moral defective, were part of the 1913 Mental health Act in the UK. This changed in 1959, 1983 and more recently in 2007. The terms are much more reasonable. 'Retard' describes a slowing or halting of (presumably) intellect. This is not the case. No one's intellect 'stops' or develops 'slower'. For some people, their ability to rationalise perceived information is altered but not delayed. If it were the case that intelligence is only delayed then a person with an intellectual disability but eventually understand all the intracies of quantum physics...given time. This is not accurate, hence the term 'retard' is redundant.

Oh dear. Now which natives are you talking about Davey? You mean the Beaker people or perhaps the ancient Celts? I get that you never got the romans round your end, but what about invasions from the Vikings? Now come on may be your mean those Hugenaughts from Holland or our Jewish brethern from Eastern Europe who have been abused for generations. You see Davey lad, they didn't assimilate they blended in! They brought skills, language (pyjama, shampoo, caravan...words from India) from wherever they came from and they shared it with us. So you are free to eat your battered pizza as you like it! I am sad to hear you say that because I love Scotland, Scottish people are the warmest and most welcoming of anywhere I have been. I went on marches in Edinburugh where the SDL where laughed at. As a northen English woman, I always was made to feel welcome. Oh and Davey newly arrived immigrants can't vote! Amisja replies on Oct 1, 2018:
You are so utterly and incredibly wrong. Wrong on so many levels. Victims often cannot come forward for years. They struggle to make the words fit. They fear disbelieve of others, the retrauma or retelling the story, the shame of being that person. Fear of breaking up families, destroying the future for themselves and even the perpetrator. For too long women have been made to feel guilty for being raped or sexually assaulted. In fact, the word 'Rape' comes from the ancient latin, 'rapious' which was a Roman word to describe stealing or a man's property. The crime was not against the woman's body but the man who 'owned' her (her husband or father). In biblical text and still today in some countries, the victim is 'guilty' of adultery if she 'allows herself' to be raped! Add to this the often asked questions to victims about their dress, were they sober, were they flirting...in fact...did they ask for it. Then something happens and you can stay silent no more, you see the perpetrator behaving in a way that is contrary to everything precious and sacred. It is then the victim speaks. Many many more of us do not. I genuinely mean this when I say this but really really hope you never have to face what this women (many women) faced. I hope you never have that decision, I hope you are not made to feel you have a responsibility to speak out just because you are a victim and believe me...as someone who picked up the broken tatters of literally hundreds of human lives. I hope you are NEVER ever left with the guilt and shame that many victims face.
Guys ask why women are so pissed off.

I remember a man grabbing out at me when I was a child and my Mum pulling me out of his grasp. I knew then I was in possible danger, like I would know not to play on a railway or handle lit fireworks. I dont know but I heard Sweden and England have a really high percentage of athiests. I Dont know.

Some of the Scandanavian countries are virtually 100% faith free. UK isn't there yet. We still have a state religion. UK has always been pretty low key about the god stuff (except for a brief period in the middle ages)

I went to the Normandy beaches..and sneaked down a whole in a fenced off area in the high dunes...I used my phone torch to see where I was going..it was very interesting being in a German bunker...especially when you are not supposed to be there..?
Amisja replies on Jul 9, 2018:
We have a bit of bunker in my house. Its interesting stuff. The museum of peace is breath taking. There is a replica of a gas chamber there and even the thought of it is chilling.

It is true, we are considering driving down for the protest. However it will be covered by the media as his beloved minions turning out in support. I think a stronger message would be empty tumble weed strewn streets, everyone staying home to watch the footie!

@btroje But I see lots of 'jolly ole England' posts that are very ignorant on here. I rebuff these gently and provide the appropriate evidential back up. My point is yes it looks a certain way. If one was to watch TV shows (which I do only rarely) USA still looks like land of milk and honey. The truth is very different. Of course I am in a slightly better position than most as I lived in AZ for years, my ex and my children are American and I have a US greencard. I refused to become a citizen. However your orange baffoon has a trigger finger and from here looks incredibly unstable. That affects us all.

Amisja replies on Jul 6, 2018:
@btroje People post about the US because of what is seen on TV. In fact it is often incorrect. Mental health on average is accessed far more regularly here in UK. However some of us (myself included) feel that it is reasonable to comment on situations we see in USA as long as these are backed up with evidence. So for example, some US states have infant mortality that equals that of developing countries. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/global-development/2018/feb/20/newborn-babies-survival-rates-us-united-states-slightly-better-sri-lanka In addition to this, again it is reasonable to comment on a nation that for many other countries in the West appears to be sqewing the trend towards more liberal progressive policies and even appears to be potentially reversing some of them. This site appears to be predominately American and despite some of our best efforts to widen the discussion, there appears to be a tendancy to resist a wider discussion as to what happens in the rest of the world, which believe it or not, does exist.
