Never heard of them before. The song was a hit for We Five and Crispian St Peters (separately) a couple of years later iirc.

Popcorn. What's the most famous instrumental do you think? [youtube.com]
Andy4608 comments on May 28, 2023:
I would nominate Link Wray's Rumble. If only because it was the only instrumental to be banned.
Earlier this month Ricky Nelson would have turned 83.

He reinvented himself as Rick as opposed to RIcky. His song "Garden Party" was about the travails of generating a new career.
I hidden, missed, unfound gem from Robin Trower.

Audio flash back to my school days. I don't think I have heard his name, let alone his music, since. Thanks for the reminder,
Happy bithday, YoYo Ma Cello concerto by Dvorac. An amazing piece of music. [youtu.be]

He guested on an episode of Arthur, as an animal version of himself. That was about 20 years ago and was the first time I had heard more than his name. A great way to the word (well, the notes!).

I haven't heard her in an age. This version looks and and sounds later; I couldn't find a date. Still has the signature barefeet. I remember that created quite a stir at the Eurovision song contest (which she won).

A regular on the lunch menu!!!! I meant to add throughout my primary/elementary school days. In those days, made with suet, steamed and served with custard. Warm stodgy memories, though other than through mild curiosity I doubt I would touch it with a bargepole now. I am glad that such a simple culinary delight can engender so much humour. :-)

In the town I grew up in ( 25 miles out of St Pancras), it was pretty much the town sport. Weekend evenings after the pubs closed there was always a crowd. The pool was on the edge of the park with and easily negotiated perimeter.
