Raised in the church by religious parents, and don't regret it. However, 2 things got me off the boat. My divorce after over 20 years of being married to a religious person from an overly religious family in a church wedding, and not being able to even DISCUSS the POSSIBILITY that there was no god without being seen as a Satan worshiper [why do we have to worship anything, and why did spell check make me capitalize Satan, but not god?]. Oh, and all the hypochristians who elected Trump.
