Just today my sister in law, who has been ignoring "difficulty swallowing" for well over 3 years, was told it is Stage 4 throat cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. She is 75, and the not-at-all assured "cure" for this is several surgeries,ncluding removal of parts of her face & throat, radiation & chemo. She & my brother have opted for Hospice, who will come to their home until she can no longer stay there, or the end (expected quite soon, she finally got diagnosed because she was too tired to get up from the couch.) I Strongly feel they are doing the right thing, it is what would choose for myself & have always chosen for my beloved dogs as well, quality time not misery. Would Anyone call this suicide?
