You pick a state you want to live in. I'll tell you how to get a free house, not land. You pick land wherever you want to live. I'll come to you and show you how to quickly do to the house what is does with bookshelves. We will take the house to your new location set it up and you get to live in it for the rest of your life. You'll still have to pay for utilities and taxes but anyone making minimum wage can do that or use the money you use to pay your rent with to pay those. I'll show you how to get money for land septic well etc.
Also, along with the house, and this is required, a crash course in the residential building trades. If you're not willing to be on the site at 7 and work your ass off all day I'm out. If you will show up I'll teach you plumbing electrical carpentry HVAC roofing etc.

Like skeet shooters or bunny hunters etc. Sort of like a well regulated militia but a hunting club. Everyone would also have to have insurance for and be held personally liable for any lost or stolen guns or if they were used in any way other than it's intended use. Accidental deaths would be considered felonies and treated like involuntary murders. And all guns would be confiscated forever. Leave an unlocked gun in your house so the kids can get at it, confiscated.

Update: the Goodbody case is solved. The perps were found and arrested without incident in the back alley, some smoking cigarettes and some caught literally napping.

I think #metoo has already done a lot of good simply by encouraging more women to think "I don't have to put up with this." It's given a ball that was already rolling a big push; hopefully, that momentum will keep increasing.

On the last building I moved the entire thing with a Ford ranger and an 8' lawnmower trailer. It took several trips but at the end of each day I only took the parts and panels we dismantled that day.
You're about to get a house that may be worth on average $200,000 and your worried about buying pizza and beer for your friends or putting gas in your truck or buying a sawzall?
Do you think friends of yours might be interested in getting houses for themselves and would be willing to help you so they could see how it's done?
Instead of trying to negotiate having the owner pay you I strongly suggest you pay him $1 for the salvage right which gives you permission to be on his property vs. incorporating a business hiring guys paying payroll and paying $10,000 as a first payment of several to get useless workman's comp insurance.
Me and my then girlfriend moved our first place and as soon as the roof was on we both quit paying for our rents. We invested that money into things we wanted in the house.
