Raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mtns as a Southern Baptist pk. It wasn't unusual. I loved being outdoors while I was growing up and still do.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know. My mind travels in a constant flux of mix-smashed ideas and hypothesis.

I don't remember writing that last sentence, but I do think a lot.

AstralSmoke comments on Jul 9, 2018:
My first fishing trip was with my two older brothers. We had poles in hand as we walked down to the local creek. We put worms on our hooks and sat down on a footbridge going over the creek. We sat in the hot sun for what seemed like 3 weeks. After a long time, I caught one. It was a bluegill, at least that's what my brothers told me. My older brother took it off the hook and threw it back into the creek. He said it was too small to keep. I don't like fishing very much.

I've never tried this, but can see the benefits as well as how difficult it might be. Anyone want to be a test bunny with me?
