Men, what would you think of a woman if they were forward with you and asked you out on a date.
AstralSmoke comments on Jul 4, 2018:
Your poll questions are a little skewed. I answered 'right on' because I see it as normal when you treat people as people.

Yikes! Since it's become a tradition to post here.
AstralSmoke comments on Jul 2, 2018:
I guess I need to comment. I'll wait.
Last month, I went and got a scoop of mushroom compost for my little bitty garden.
AstralSmoke comments on Jul 2, 2018:
Funny. You must have a good character. If you need to get a load of mulch again, put a section of chain-link fence flat in the bed, place your tarp over that (if you want to), and the mulch on top of that. Unload the same as before, but tie the rope to the chain-link fence. A redneck taught me that.
Unfun moment of the day.
AstralSmoke comments on Jul 2, 2018:
I know you keep up with new contraptions. They make flashlights now for when the moon's not working.
I am planning a bicycle camping trip in mid August, 45 miles per day.

AstralSmoke comments on Jun 30, 2018:
Yes, it is beautiful, thanks for the reminder. I knew you were on vacation, and I might have even quickly thought about you a couple of times, but not really miss ;-)

Are you inflated or deflated with your friends?
AstralSmoke comments on Jun 26, 2018:
Yes, I will inflate and deflate with my friends. It sounds breathtaking.
Can someone please explain the difference between hovered and visited?
AstralSmoke comments on Jun 26, 2018:
There is no difference if you hover too long.
Do you feel weary from current terms for world politics?
AstralSmoke comments on Jun 26, 2018:

Have you noticed a decline in writing skills?
AstralSmoke comments on Jun 23, 2018:
My thoughts about what exactly? I'm no English professor and English has never been my favorite subject and although I taught English to Germans for a few years, I don't consider myself a linguist. My kids can't read cursive very easily. They don't write anymore, they type. They are learning sentence structure and stuff (sort of, they're ten). I don't think I'm qualified to answer.

Can't read the Post, but I'll comment anyway. With my highly trained background ... not, This would be my take: If someone is shooting people and I have a weapon, I'm going to neutralize the shooter as quickly as possible and that probably means killing her/him. This minister was trained to do this and he obviously did an outstanding job.
This is very interesting.

Alrighty. Thanks for commenting @hankster. My turn. This is documentation. Everything in this photo has it's own story. For instance, the dirt mark on the bottom right of the door is made by my dog when he opened the door (if it wasn't latched). Everything has a story.

I agree, it used to be a family responsibility, but no longer. People take jobs all over the country and it's not so easy to relocate and sacrifice your job in order to take care of your mom or dad. It must be really scary for some with no backup system in place. I view this as part of the bigger problem with health care here in the US. Other countries take much better care of their citizens than our 3rd world country does.

You ever pay the 10% church tithes?
AstralSmoke comments on Jun 19, 2018:
I like the idea of tithing (not to a church though). I give at least 10% of what I grow to the neighborhood critters. I give more than 10% of my time to family, friends, or whomever might need my help. I'd love to be able (someday) to live on 1% of what I make and 'tithe' the rest to those that might need it. I think it's a good way to think.

AstralSmoke comments on Jun 19, 2018:
Weather seems to be the topic of the day here. (Not just your posts). When I was driving to pick up my twins yesterday it had rained for a very short time. Steam was coming off the roads and any paved parking lots etc. Must be at least 110% humidity. Lovely, isn't it?
