This is funny @AstralSmoke. It sounds like the perfect first line to a joke. This is a story out of the Chattanooga paper, so I have my doubts, but it's said to be a real story out of Florida. MrLizard comments on Dec 3, 2017:
I made banana breads, today. But my favorite is my own adaptation. I make a mandarin orange cake , from scratch. Moist yellow cake with a naturally flavored orange butter cream decorated with mandarin orange slices.

Do you eat at a kitchen table?
resserts comments on Dec 3, 2017:
At the table most of the time, occasionally in my bedroom in front of my computer — but I don't usually have anyone else I'm eating with, so it's not like there's a social reason to eat anywhere in particular.
AstralSmoke replies on Dec 3, 2017:

I raised my kids eating at the dinner table most nights. We’d play “highs and lows” a game that calls for each of us to state the high and low point of our day.. That family time was the sweetest thing to me. I can’t sit there anymore, really.. that empty chair fucks me up every time. ...

AstralSmoke replies on Dec 3, 2017:
Do you know the joke about the engineers and the mathematicians? There were a couple of engineers and a couple of mathematicians trying to figure out how tall the flagpole was. They decided that they'd have to dig it up. Once they had it dug up and laying on the ground the mathematicians measured it. 21' long was their measurement. One engineer said to the other engineer, "Just like a mathematician to measure the wrong direction."

Creativity: What is it?
goatgirl comments on Dec 2, 2017:
For me it is just an obsessive need to sort and arrange. Colors, shapes etc. I live with artful things for a while then when I get bored with them I rearrange them. I am the lone re-arranger! Kind of like a bower bird.
AstralSmoke replies on Dec 3, 2017:
You grow mushrooms? That's something I'm planning on doing (loosely said). My daughter wants to start a worm farm, which can also use shredded paper and cardboard. How large are your assemblages? Are they weather resistant or strictly indoor pieces? And there are a lot of things that only happen for a very short time. One reason to carry my phone.

Van Gogh or Picasso
Hugene2002 comments on Dec 3, 2017:
Both were amazing artists, but Picasso became a money making machine in his own lifetime and his ego was massive. Van Gogh exemplifies the life of an artist so often you can see that emotion, pain and suffering in his work. So I voted Van Gogh.
AstralSmoke replies on Dec 3, 2017:
Yes, I knew someone would understand. Picasso, who was a genius in assembling, who couldn't/didn't show raw emotion, and made a lot of money. Van Gogh, a troubled 'soul' who could only adequately communicate through painting and his art captured him. He died pennilessly. I voted van Gogh as well. I like Picasso, but for different reasons.
