Right handed, Left handed, or Ambidextrous?

Was left handed but due to crazy teachers beliefs that left handedness was evil I had to learn to use my right hand

That's really sad, but you're beyond that now and realize the value of your left!

Intriguing. Why do you want to cover the earth? Wouldn't it be expensive to clean up? All those parachutes around will not put a happy face on the custodial staff. Just saying. Don't you hate it when someone rains on your parade? (;P)

@VictoriaNotes One of my all-time favorite books is Harold and the Purple Crayon. Crayons play a very important part of my development. My kids love to melt them down and make candles. My sarcastic remarks are aimed more at the unsustainability of the project. Now, if they were to be shot off by geysers, silently exploding in the sky, drizzling happy dust that once hits the ground and grows into happy plants. Are they biodegradable parachutes?

@Saramarie I agree, but it's all been around for a long time. It's just bubbling up now.I don't mean to give Trump more credit than due, but he's helping with the boiling process. I was just wondering, the grunge (I guess that's what it's called) is fine, don't have a problem. The lyrics are important. But it does seem nondirectional to me and definitely not original. Who else do you listen to?

snytiger6 comments on Nov 21, 2017:
An interesting statistic is that left handed people are about twice as likely to be gay (measured per capita). I happen to be gay, but right handed. The left hand is controlled by the right side of the brain which is supposed to be the "creative" side. This might add to the stereotupe of gay ...
AstralSmoke replies on Nov 21, 2017:
So there is a higher % of left-handed gays compared to the % found in the general population? Then it stands to reason that it's not just a stereotype that more gays predominately use the right side of their brains. I'm confused; hope you are too.

I had a friend in elementary school who broke her right hand in the fourth grade. She learned to write with her left, but it was awkward and a bit blocky. When she regained the use of her right hand, she again wrote with her right hand, but it resembled how she had learned to write with her left. I thought it was a significant study.
Right handed, Left handed, or Ambidextrous?
VictoriaNotes comments on Nov 21, 2017:
Ambidextrous for the most part except when writing. I was forced to choose when I was a child by teachers, mostly influenced to use my right hand. How has it affected my perspective on life? I haven't a clue. Do I still get bonus points?
AstralSmoke replies on Nov 21, 2017:
I consider myself ambidextrous as well. Probably 40-60. I encourage my kids to use both of there hands. Eating and routine things are good times to use your opposite hands. I've played this game with myself pretty much all my life. I believe and have read some supporting data that says by using both hands it increases your brainpower and creativity. Maybe it does or doesn't, but I 'feel' like it does. And yes, you get bonus points for being so honest.
