Another thing that should be considered. Duante Wright was 5'8" 145 pounds. Neither she nor her trainee could physically control him. She was under a lot of stress, pulled out the wrong weapon, and killed him. I played high school basketball with two guys who went on to become police officers. One was 6'4" 220 pounds. The other was 6'5" 230 pounds and played power forward in college. Either one of those guys could have easily pulled Duante Wright out of that car with 1 hand and restrained him. Police departments need to consider which officers are out there making arrests in potentially violent situations.

There's a common thread between the deaths of George Floyd and Duante Wright. In George Floyd's case, he was much, much larger then the two officers who first attempted to arrest him, so he was able to resist arrest for 4 minutes before Derek Chauvin showed up. In Duante Wright's case, he was able to pull away from the male officer and the female officer who were attempting to arrest him. Neither officer had the strength to physically subdue him, so she tried to reach for her taser and shot him instead. I played high school basketball with two guys who went on to become police officers. One of them was 6'4" 220 pounds, the other was 6'5" 230 pounds. I think had those officers been the ones who had attempted to arrest George Floyd and Duante Wright, the outcomes would have been different.

That's insane. Prior to Obamacare, I was paying $500/month insurance premiums for my family. Once Obamacare hit, my premiums went from $500, to $800, to $1400, to $1800 per month. I had to create a partnership just to get my family an alternative to Obamacare and get into a group plan at $1100/month. When Trump repealed the individual mandate, my premiums are now back to $500/month. If I chose to be in an Obamacare compliant plan right now, my premiums would be ~$3000/month.
