You’re a slow learner! 😂 When I was training new drivers at work (bus driver) and a passenger would get on and do something stupid, I would tell them how I handled this situation for the 42 years I worked there. I just figure everyone is stupid, each in our own way. If you accept that fact, then little a person can do will surprise you! Instead of being upset about the stupid people that annoy you, you learn to appreciate those who overcome their own stupidity and be decent human beings. I always told my trainees that I don’t exclude myself from this view. I was married three times, so I am obviously stupid, for sure. 😄

As a heavy Facebook sharer, I have from time to time posted memes which were called out (backed with factual, information and resources) as untrue. When this happens, I post an apology, often the correction and after a period of time delete the original post. We all make mistakes and in the speed of life online post memes and others opinions without due process. Unlike Trump, we should not pass blame on to others for our oversight, but correct the mistake as publicly as feasible and Be more cautious in the future to research before sharing. But in agreement with others on here, to actually be termed a lie I think requires knowingly stating an obvious falsehood and defending that in the face of substantial proof to the contrary. Thus why my terminology for this action is now being referred to as a “TRUMPISM”.

With Trump constantly trying to come up with a way to stop even more funds (payroll taxes) coming into the program and a Senate majority that would love nothing better than to see it disappear (their retirement paid by us will not suffer), I feel sorry for those nearing retirement in the next twenty years or so. Defined benefit pension plans have all but disappeared, if financial recovery drags on, 401k’s will be hard pressed to make up loses. Hoping you stay healthy enough to work until you’re 80 or living in death camps does not sound at all appealing.

I always tell those who push the issue; prayer and flipping a coin are about equal in their ability to change the final outcome. I often say “best wishes” which is simply the secular way of saying “I’ll pray for you” and again has just as much bearing on results. But it makes believers feel they have some special control over things they don’t, so I suppose it gives them comfort. I take comfort in knowing that I don’t have control and just need to accept life as it comes, do what I can to affect the outcome and deal with the result.
