Although I have had a long life, thanks to a traumatic brain injury, I have long-term retrograde amnesia and don't remember any details of the first 47 years of my life. I'm lucky, though. The injury damaged only my long-term memory, so I've been able to support myself and enjoy a fairly "normal" life (from what I can tell.)
When my family learned of my memory loss, the first thing they told me to do was to go to church. Instead, I read books from many religions and they all seemed unbelievable at best. Now, I live in the middle of the Bible belt, and I joined Agnostic.com to meet like-minded people to have interesting conversations with.
